You could only upgrade to this 0808 version from 0612 firmware!
If you are using older version such as 0203 or 0330. Please upgrade to the 0612 version first.
0808 Firmware has greatly improved MKV playback and fix the AC3 no sound bug in m2ts container.
It also enable bitstream of Dolby TrueHD over HDMI 1.3 for ISTAR MINI HDMI 1.3 version (confirmed using Onkyo 705).

To install firmware, please unzip the contents of 080808HDMI11.zip or
080808HDMI13.zip to a USB flash drive or hard drive and select FIRMWARE
UPDATE.htm via browsing the file category from the menu.
Please read FAQ regarding how to install NMT file（syb8634.nmt) and the difference between NMT file application and firmware.
Do not use a network share for firmware updates, and never power off the ISTAR Mini during a firmware update! If you do, the flash memory will become corrupted and you will have to RMA the player.
